LUXEMBOURG-Internet calling is moving into the mobile realm, as Internet telephony company Skype Technologies announced its service will support calls made over personal digital assistants working on Wi-Fi networks. Skype’s announcement comes after Microsoft Corp. added Wi-Fi calling features to its Windows CE operating system.
Skype, which offers free person-to-person voice calls over a broadband Internet connection, said users will now be able to place Internet calls over a Wi-Fi connection using Microsoft Pocket PC PDAs. Skype is offering its PocketSkype Internet calling software free for Pocket PC users.
