ORLANDO PARK, Ill.-First Cellular of Southern Illinois said it has selected Andrew Corp.’s caller location system known as Geometrix to provide public-safety agencies with accurate information on cellular calls to 911.
The system is compatible with both CDMA and GSM protocols in infrastructure and handsets, said Andrew.
“Andrew’s Geometrix system determines the position of wireless 911 callers and automatically forwards the caller location information to public-safety agencies that receive 911 calls,” said Andrew.
