SAN RAMON, Calif.-The ZigBee Alliance, dedicated to developing the ZigBee specification and ZigBee products, announced 27 new member companies, bringing total membership to more than 70 companies.
Among the new inductees are Airbee Wireless, LG Electronics Inc., Siemens Building Automation, Silicon Wave Inc., STMicroelectronics and Telecom Italia.
“The growth rate of our membership has exceeded our initial expectations and clearly shows the increasing market support for the technology,” said Bob Heile, chairman of the alliance.
