T-Mobile USA Inc. said it will take into account recommendations by The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus Inc. that it narrow its “Take your number to a better place . and get the best value in wireless,” advertising claims in future marketing campaigns after the NAD found the claims to fit only the carrier’s $40 and $70 per month rate plans.
NAD noted in its report that T-Mobile USA was able to demonstrate the basis for its “best value” claim for certain wireless service plans, but the carrier’s “T-Mobile, get more” slogan constitutes “vague puffery.”
T-Mobile USA added that it “strongly supports the self-regulatory process and appreciates NAD’s careful consideration and review in this matter.”
