SAN DIEGO-Regional wireless carrier Ntelos Inc. launched an application distribution system using Qualcomm Inc.’s BREW technology, the two companies announced.
“We are constantly exploring new ways to enhance our subscriber’s wireless experience and deliver them the services they demand, and Qualcomm’s BREW solution has allowed us to do just that,” said Rob Cale, vice president of marketing for Ntelos. “The BREW solution provides access to a rich variety of useful and fun applications and was an ideal choice for our deployment of wireless data services because of how quickly and easily we were able to commercialize these applications on our existing network.”
Ntelos joins Verizon Wireless, Alltel, Cellular One, MetroPCS, Midwest Wireless and U.S. Cellular in the United States in offering BREW services.
