SINGAPORE-Lucent Technologies Inc. flexed its muscles at the CommunicAsia trade show with a series of contracts with Indian, Vietnamese and Korean operators.
In India, Lucent signed a $30 million contract with Tata Teleservices to support the carrier’s CDMA network in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Lucent also signed a contract with Vietnam Power Telecom to deploy a CDMA2000 1x solution in the 450 MHz band. The carrier is Lucent’s first customer win in Vietnam, according to the vendor.
Korea Telecom also signed a contract with Lucent for the supply of its Anymedia Line Access Gateway systems, which is part of the vendor’s Voice over Internet Protocol portfolio. Lucent also will provide professional services, such as installation, integration and system quality assurance, the company said.
