ACS expands EV-DO coverage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska-Following up on its CDMA2000 1x EV-DO launch in select Alaskan cities last month, Alaska Communications Systems Group Inc. said it has rolled out 1x-based services in Whittier that will cover the town, boat docks and extend into the neighboring bay area of Prince William Sound.
