Wireless retailer FTS Wireless Inc. reported it will begin offering Nextel Communications Inc. subsidiary Boost Mobile L.L.C.’s prepaid wireless services. FTS, which also operates Wi-Fi hot spots, operates six retail wireless locations and one wireless kiosk in the Florida Gulf Coast region and one wireless retail location in the Philadelphia area.

Siemens AG said it has picked Alvarion Ltd. to supply it with its WiMax solution known as BreezeMAX 3500. “The agreement with Siemens has been a cornerstone of our success, and we are proud to be selected by Siemens Information and Communication to provide our BreezeMAX solution during this exciting period for the wireless broadband industry,” said Zvi Slonimsky, chief executive officer of Alvarion.

Vodafone Group plc signed a long-term global framework agreement with billing and customer retention management provider Amdocs. The deal will position Amdocs as the global billing solutions provider for Vodafone’s worldwide operations, which include equity interests in 26 countries with a proportionate customer base of more than 133 million subscribers. The new agreement specifies service levels, pricing and legal framework for all future projects between Amdocs and Vodafone companies worldwide and builds on Amdocs’ current relationships with a number of Vodafone subsidiaries, including Vodafone Hungary, Vodafone Ireland, Vodafone U.K., Vodafone Australasia and Vodafone Netherlands.

Mobile games publisher THQ Wireless said it launched its first DoJa i-mode site for E-Plus’ i-mode customers in Germany. The first titles on the new service will include Eurosport Football, MotoGP, Darts, Worms and The Punisher. “The agreement with E-Plus is the first step in our strategy to roll out games across many other i-mode partners in the months ahead, said Adam Comiskey, general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa for THQ Wireless. Several other European carriers, including E-Plus’ parent company, KPN Mobile, offer i-mode services under licensing agreements with NTT DoCoMo Inc.
