MORRISVILLE, N.C.-Tekelec said that Cingular Wireless L.LC. has deployed its Eagle 5 Signaling Application System and G-Flex home location register in its new signaling architecture.
The new architecture is deployed in five U.S. regions, and it is expected to allow Cingular to reduce costs and increase network capacity, said Tekelec.
The new Cingular signaling architecture enables most subscriber calls to originate and terminate within the same region, ensuring efficient traffic routing.
