ZTE chosen for international IP standards development

GENEVA-ZTE Corp. said the International Telecommunication Union has chosen it to draft two important international standards for next-generation networks.

The company will draft the requirements and framework for end-to-end quality-of-service architecture for NGN and QoS framework for Internet Protocol-based access networks.

“ZTE plays an active role at the ITU, having already drafted eight international standards covering optical transmission, international security, gateway and 3G terminals and five recommendations on optical communication, IP networks, information security and network management,” said the company.
