BELLEVUE, Wash.-Continuing its marketing focus on the youth segment, T-Mobile USA Inc. reported its Gold Sponsorship of the 2004 Summer X Games in Los Angeles scheduled for next week, as well as its continued sponsorship of the T-Mobile Action Sports Team.
The team this year includes BMX riders Dave Mirra and Ryan Nyquist, skateboarder Bucky Lasek, skateboarder/snowboarder Shaun White, snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler and freestyle moto X rider Carey Hart. Team members will be on-site at the Staples Center for autograph sessions throughout the four-day event, with T-Mobile USA planning to host a Hollywood event prior to the Aug. 5 opening.
In connection with the start of this year’s X Games, T-Mobile USA said it will launch a national promotion called IM2Win that will allow customers to answer pop culture trivia questions for a chance to win prizes, including a grand prize trip to the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colo.
“The X Games is an ideal destination for fans to experience the benefits of T-Mobile first hand, by using our wireless services such as instant messaging or camera-phone pictures to capture and share amazing highlights throughout the X Games,” said Mike Belcher, director of sponsorship and promotions for T-Mobile USA.
