NEW YORK—Millicom International Cellular said it sold its 65-percent holding in Millicom Argentina, a high-speed wireless data joint venture, to its local partner after receiving regulatory approval.
The carrier did not disclose the amount of the sale.
All four wireless carriers in Argentina are upgrading their networks to offer wireless data services. Millicom Argentina does not hold a cellular license in the country.
