OMA unveils 10 enabler releases

ORLANDO, Fla.-The Open Mobile Alliance unveiled 10 new enabler releases in an effort to ensure service interoperability across mobile devices.

Nearly 400 OMA member companies around the world have collaborated on the enabler releases, which allow interoperable wireless data services to be launched among operators and terminals worldwide. Of the 10 new releases, four have fulfilled OMA interoperability requirements.

“The Open Mobile Alliance continues to fuel the growth of mobile services by continually monitoring and responding to market demands,” said Jari Alvinen, OMA chairman of the board. “Today’s announcement validates our commitment to focus across a broad array of interoperable mobile services and attain interoperability across devices and networks.”
