STOCKHOLM, Sweden-L.M. Ericsson said it has conducted a CDMA 450 MHz trial in Talgar, Kazakhstan, based on the vendor’s third-generation platform.
The operator for the trial is Dalacom with its partners. Ericsson said the trial is also in conjunction with The Agency of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Nortel Networks Ltd. said it has added three new CDMA 450 handset vendor partners to its portfolio.
The partners include Curitel, Synertek and AnyData, which are completing interoperability test with Nortel. They also will jointly market bundled networking solutions for CDMA2000 1x and 1x EV-DO on the 450 MHz radio spectrum.
Nortel said the partnerships will yield such devices as bar and flip-top handsets, fixed terminals, data modems, PC cards and embedded wireless modules.<
