IRVINE, Calif.-Verizon Wireless said it has extended coverage of its CDMA2000 1x EV-DO BroadbandAccess network to nearly all of Los Angeles county, as well as into portions of Riverside and San Bernardino, Calif., counties. The carrier noted that the service previously covered all of Orange County, nearly all of Los Angeles and San Diego counties, and portions of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Verizon Wireless added that the network now covers nearly 4,400 square miles in southern California and has previously said it expects to provide EV-DO service across two-thirds of its network by the end of next year.
