IRVINE, Calif.-Broadcom Corp. and BVRP Software announced a strategic partnership calling for the companies to combine BVRP’s PhoneTools mobility software suite with Broadcom’s WIDCOMM Bluetooth for Windows software.
As part of the partnership, Broadcom has been granted exclusive rights to integrate the Bluetooth version of BVRP’s Mobile PhoneTools software within its WIDCOMM BTW software. The combined software solution allows customers to connect to the Internet, send short message service transmissions, and transfer pictures, music, video, calendar items and contact lists between their personal computers and their mobile phones without cables.
The BVRP Mobile PhoneTools software provides users with graphical representations of cellular phones on their desktops or notebook computer screens, and users can operate all primary phone functions from their computers, said the companies.
