LAS VEGAS-The MultiMediaCard Association said it has formed a liaison arrangement with the Consumer Electronics-Advanced Technology Attachment Promoter Group.
The agreement calls for the two groups to collaborate to make sure the technologies they support are complementary, said MMCA.
The CE-ATA Promoter Group was formed last year to develop a new interface for mini hard drives that can be used on portable devices. The group includes Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, Intel Corp., Marvell Semiconductor, Nokia Corp., Seagate Technology and Toshiba America Information Systems. MMCA promotes adoption of a small removable storage card for mobile phones and digital imaging.
