BERNE, Switzerland-Swisscom Mobile said it has launched the first UMTS mobile phone with a 2-megapixel camera. The Sharp V902 UMTS mobile supports services such as live TV and video telephony.
The phone also has autofocus and optical 2-times zoom, as well as digital 10-times zoom to guarantee print-quality pictures. The mobile phone, which will be used on Swisscom Mobile’s Vodafone Live! multimedia service, comes with an integrated MP3 player, 26-megabyte memory and an external 32 MB memory card.
The carrier is selling the phone for $600 with a subscription and $1,100 without a subscription.
