CINCINNATI-Regional telecommunications provider and former AT&T Wireless Services Inc. affiliate Cincinnati Bell Inc. said it was delaying the release of its fourth-quarter and full-year 2004 financial results from Feb. 9 to Feb. 15 due to additional accounting procedures that cropped up following its recent refinancing plan. The refinancing plan was approved by a majority of investors late last month.
Cincinnati Bell said it expects to post 2,000 net wireless customer additions for the fourth quarter of last year and 7,000 net subscriber additions for the full year. Postpaid churn during the quarter is expected to be 2.78 percent, which is a significant improvement compared with the 3.68 percent posted during the third quarter of last year.
Cincinnati Bell reported an agreement with AWS and Cingular Wireless L.L.C. last August that freed Cincinnati Bell of its affiliation with AWS following Cingular’s acquisition of AWS late last year. The agreement included long-term roaming agreements, the ability for Cincinnati Bell to repurchase Cingular’s 19.9-percent stake in the company, and allowed Cingular to compete against Cincinnati Bell in the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio, markets.
