CANNES, France-Alcatel Alsthom said it has won a contract to supply T-Mobile USA with its core infrastructure. As part of the deal, Alcatel will deploy its Alcatel 5020 Spatial Atrium Distributed MSC solution to upgrade and optimize its core network.
“The solution will allow T-Mobile USA to continue to deliver product and service innovation, while reducing its per-unit switching costs by enabling network extensions in a flexible manner,” said T-Mobile USA.
No dollar amount was disclosed for the deal.
