Pulse~Link introduces UWB platform

CARLSBAD, Calif.-Pulse~Link Inc., which provides ultra-wideband fabless semiconductors, introduced its Continuous Wave UWB architecture and its PLK23300-EVK Evaluation Kit.

The company said its platform provides wireless gigabit data rates at personal area network ranges and data rates that can support multimedia and HDTV data streams at wireless local area network ranges. The PLK23300-EVK evaluation kit is being offered to certain strategic partners.

“We are constantly asked if we are an MBOA or DS-UWB technology,” said John Santhoff, founder and chief technology officer at Pulse~Link. “We are neither, but have held off on public discussions of our CWave technology until now. We waited for the release of our development platforms so our technology could be demonstrated publicly with real-world hardware that clearly validates the performance advantages of our approach.”
