TROWBRIDGE, United Kingdom-Virgin Mobile U.K. will offer adult images of models from the London strip club Stringfellows, the carrier said Thursday.
The offering will include images of both men and women, with content divided into two tiers. A series of “fun” pictures will feature models clad in swimwear and lingerie, while an adult tier includes 10 pictures available only to customers who pre-register and have proven they are 18 or older.
The catalog of images will be refreshed periodically with new models, and pictures will be offered at $3.75 each.
“Historically, adult entertainment has provided the unsung accelerator for every major new communication technology, from Polaroid to cable television to the Internet,” said John Conlon, marketing manager for Bites, Virgin Mobile’s branded content service.”
The service is expected to launch April 25.
