OKLAHOMA CITY-Dobson Communications said it plans to close its customer service center in Frederick, Md., July 1, based on a reorganization of the carrier’s customer care departments. The 150 affected employees of the center will have relocation options or will be offered assistance in finding new employment, Dobson said.
Customer calls will now be handled by other Dobson call centers in Poughkeepsie, N.Y,.; Duluth, Minn.; Youngstown, Ohio; and Oklahoma City.
Dobson said last week it expects to report a subscriber loss of 18,800 subscribers for the first quarter.
