NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.-Arbinet-thexchange Inc., which is an electronic market for trading, routing and settling communications capacity, launched DirectAxcess.
The service allows fixed and mobile network operators to buy and sell termination to branded networks in a transparent and nonanonymous environment, said the company. The service launched with 32 selling members, including Cable & Wireless, KDDI, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co., Rostelecom, Singapore Telecom, Telecom Argentina, Telecom Italia Sparkle, Telekom Malaysia, Telkom South Africa, TelstraClear and Western Wireless. The service includes a total of 183 global termination markets and 34 mobile networks.
