NewVoiceMedia buys IM technology

LAVERSTOKE, United Kingdom-NewVoiceMedia, which provides computer telephony integration solutions, said it acquired International Communications Systems Ltd.’s secure instant messaging technology.

The acquisition allows NewVoiceMedia to provide its call center and enterprise customers with a secure and recordable instant messaging service, said the company.

NVM said the combination of its voice technologies with secure IM will allow it to launch several secure end-to-end packaged voice and IM solutions during the third quarter.

In related news, Symon Blomfield, who founded ICS in 2003, is joining NewVoiceMedia’s board of directors as director of presence network sales.
