CINCINNATI-Cincinnati Bell Inc. appointed Rodney Dir chief operating officer of the regional telecommunications provider where he will oversee the daily management and performance of sales, marketing, network and customer care operations across all of the company’s business segments. Dir will assume the new position July 11 and report to Jack Cassidy, CBI president and chief executive officer.
Dir previously served as vice president of national retail sales and operations for T-Mobile USA Inc. and before that was COO of regional wireless operator Powertel, which was acquired by T-Mobile USA’s parent company Deutsche Telekom AG in 2001.
