OBERHAUSEN, Germany-Wireless multimedia messaging service application provider ConVisual said it has installed an interactive TV platform for Australian entertainment company IAM Mobile.
The platform, which came online last week with the Australian broadcast of the “Live8” concert, integrates incoming MMS and SMS messages into live TV broadcasts. During last week’s concert, music fans could send text messages of their names to have them appear on-screen during performances.
IAM will continue to offer interactive TV services through the platform. “Per capita, Australia’s SMS sign-ups for the Live8 List were the highest in the world, and I am convinced that the ConVisual platform played a large part in that,” said Hilton Rosenthal, chief executive officer of IAM Mobile.
