Legacy Wireless purchases 7 towers

PORTLAND, Ore.-Legacy Wireless Towers L.L.C., a subsidiary of Legacy Wireless Services Inc., said it acquired seven existing tower sites in the Portland, Ore., metropolitan market.

The seven existing tower sites were selected from a portfolio of towers offered by a wireless carrier. Legacy said a confidentiality agreement prevents the seller to be named or the terms of the purchase to be disclosed.

Qwest Communications International Inc. owned towers in the area but now offers service as a mobile virtual network operator.

Legacy Wireless Services, which has offices in Portland, Ore., and Boise, Idaho, said the purchased tower sites are located in key areas in the Portland metropolitan market and allow Legacy to expand and diversify its scope of services.
