LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-Alltel Corp. is offering weather content to its subscribers via The Weather Channel Interactive.
Services include radar, forecasts and severe weather information delivered to customers’ wireless phones. The service will be offered for $4.25 per month on a variety of handsets, said the carrier.
Wade McGill, vice president of product marketing at Alltel, said weather information is the most downloaded topic in the news and information category of its Axcess wireless data service.
