SAN FRANCISCO-WideRay Corp. raised $10 million in Series C funding led by new investor Enterprise Partners Venture Capital, the company announced Wednesday.
Existing investor Sequoia Capital joined the round, and other private investors also participated. WideRay, which provides technology that enables the delivery and transaction of digital media to wireless devices, said it will use the money to pursue new customers and develop new products, as well as enhance its current offerings.
Under terms of the financing, Enterprise Partners Managing Director Bill Stensrud will join WideRay’s board of directors.
“WideRay has identified a very specific audience, has determined exactly what that audience wants, and has set up a mechanism for getting it to them-all critical factors for success,” Stensrud said. Based on its proven ability to execute, we think WideRay will experience exponential growth very quickly.”
