Qpass offers content stores for carriers

LONDON-M-commerce software developer Qpass Inc. introduced an offering designed to manage digital content stores for wireless operators and media companies.

The Seattle-based company launched Qpass Content Services, which performs content sourcing and management, merchandising and storefront management, financial controls, supply-chain management and customer care. The service supports WAP, Web sites and short codes, and is designed to allow companies to establish mobile content stores efficiently and less expensively than other options.

“Creating a digital media content store akin with the consumer experiences of a popular high-end department store is a complex challenge,” said Chase Franklin, Qpass’ chief executive officer. “(The service) removes the risk of upfront investment by 20 percent to 45 percent and provides operators and media companies the local market knowledge they need to realize the potential of mobile content as a revenue driver.”
