LOS ANGELES-Fans of NBC’s reality series “The Biggest Loser” can get weight-loss tips from the show with a new text messaging service. The subscription service, which is available for $3 a month, delivers diet tips and exercise information handsets every weekday to users who sign up through a short code. The service is powered by GoldPocket Wireless, which develops interactive marketing campaigns for media companies. “‘The Biggest Loser’ mobile subscription service is yet another example of how mobile campaigns extend the reach of television by giving viewers new ways to become involved with their favorite shows,” said Stephen Leonard, president of GoldPocket. “The wireless subscription model has proven to be a very successful way for content providers to reach consumers anytime, anywhere.”
