PETALUMA, Calif.-Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. said it will use video technology from Dilithium Networks in its third-generation mobile phones.
Dilithium said its AnswerFast Plus technology reduces video call set-up times to less than one second, which the company said is comparable to voice calls. The company said existing 3G video calling handsets typically take 5 seconds to8 seconds to establish voice and video channels.
“We are pleased to work with Samsung again on another platform,” said Paul Zuber, Dilithium’s chief executive officer. “Samsung has chosen AnswerFast Plus to help enable the ultimate 3G video telephony experience for their customers.”
