SAN MATEO, Calif.-London-based publisher I-play tomorrow will announce the North American launch of a mobile game based on the show “The Weakest Link.”
The single-player title pits players against the clock in a trivia game featuring topics including entertainment, geography, history, nature and science. The game show has been a worldwide success since its debut in the United Kingdom five years ago, with versions now being broadcast in more than 40 countries.
“This casual trivia title has had a huge following in Europe, and successfully combines a stimulating mental challenge with compelling mobile fun, which should make it a hit with North American mobile phone users as well,” said Anders Evju, I-play’s general manager of the Americas.
