SAN DIEGO-Sky MobileMedia Inc., which provides wireless software platforms, named Naser Partovi as its new president and chief executive officer.
Previously, Partovi was managing director at Enterprise Partners Venture Capital, where he managed investments in media communications, networking and telecommunications companies. Enterprise Partners led Sky MobileMedia’s first round of financing, in which the company netted $6.25 million. During Partovi’s tenure at Enterprise Partners, he served on the boards of directors of Sky MobileMedia, Ascendent Systems, DragonWave, Quorom Systems and Reli-On.
Partovi also served as vice president of strategy and business development for Nortel Networks Ltd.’s Optical Networks business.
Partovi replaces Richard Sfeir as Sky MobileMedia’s CEO. Sky MobileMedia did not give a reason for the CEO change.
