LOS GATOS, Calif.-Wireless mesh networking company Firetide Inc. and EDX Wireless announced a strategic partnership to target the growing market for municipal Wi-Fi products.
Under the partnership, EDX will include Firetide’s HotPort mesh node specifications as part of its SignalMX software. EDX develops planning software for commercial and municipal wireless networks. The companies said the move allows network planners to include mesh nodes in their overall network plans.
The companies said they are looking into further integration of their offerings, including integrated data transfer to and from Firetide’s HotView Pro network management platform.
