SAN FRANCISCO—MobileLime and mFoundry are the latest companies to announce financing rounds this week.
Mobile application publisher mFoundry said it completed a $7.3 million Series B round of private equity financing. GRP Partners led the round, which included participation from previous investors Ignition Partners and Apax Partners.
The company said it plans to use the funds to continue development of the next-generation of its mobile application platform, mWorks. It also has earmarked some of the funding to expand its international presence.
In other funding news, MobileLime, a company that specializes in mobile-phone marketing and payment solutions, said it completed a $10 million venture-capital financing round. Oak Investment Partners led the round. Ignition Partners and SeaPoint Ventures, which both participated in the company’s initial seed financing, also participated in the latest round.
The company said it plans to use the funding to support national rollout of its mobile loyalty and payment solutions and to hasten the launch of its next-generation mobile wallet product that is based on Near Field Communication technology.
