OKLAHOMA CITY—Dobson Communications Corp. said it expects to report a slight increase in gross subscriber additions and improvements in churn when it releases its first-quarter results next month.
Releasing preliminary results for the quarter, Dobson said it expects to report 125,300 total gross subscriber additions for the quarter, up slightly from 122,000 additions during the first quarter of last year and 122,600 during the fourth quarter.
The company also said it expects to report postpaid churn of about 2.07 percent, down from churn of 2.43 percent during last year’s fourth quarter and 2.62 percent for the fourth quarter.
In addition, Dobson said it expects to report an increase in average revenue per user figures to $46.75 for the quarter up from ARPU of $42.94 for the first quarter of last year and $46.10 for the fourth quarter.
The company’s stock closed up 1.65 percent to $8.02 on both the preliminary results as well as news the company reached agreements to purchase wireless spectrum in Alaska.
