COPPELL, Texas—Shares of CellStar Corp. jumped after the company inked a deal to provide logistics services to mobile virtual network operator Total Call Mobile Inc.
CellStar said it will handle “product procurement and fulfillment services including custom kitting, reverse logistics and repair and refurbishment services” for Total Call. The new MVNO uses Sprint Nextel Corp.’s network and markets both pre- and postpaid services as well as international calling plans to multicultural groups in the United States.
The news boosted CellStar’s stock 38 cents, or more than 12 percent, to $3.38 per share.
