DRAPER, Utah—S5 Wireless, which specializes in wireless location technology, said it raised $11.5 million in its second financing round.
S5 said its solution allows location accuracy similar to Global Positioning System solutions in both indoor and outdoor environments. The company’s target markets include E-911 location for Voice over Internet Protocol services, location of pets, homeland security applications, medical device location, shipping and telecommunications.
Craig McCaw’s investment firm, Eagle River Holdings L.L.C., led the round. Existing investor vSpring Capital and Wasatch Venture Fund also participated in the funding.
