LEXINGTON, Mass.—Digit Wireless Inc. said LG Electronics Co Ltd. released its second phone model that incorporates Digit’s Fastap keypad technology.
Fastap is a unique keypad technology that includes both number and letter buttons on a standard keypad layout.
The new LG 490 will be available through Telus Mobility in Canada. Other features of the phone include letter dialing and one-touch access to mobile services and phone features.
LG previously released its 490 Fastap keypad in the U.S. market for Alltel Corp. LG’s first Fastap phone model, the 6190, was introduced in Canada last year.
