WASHINGTON—Online phone retailer InPhonic Inc. announced it will power the online mobile phone sales of retailer Best Buy Co Inc. InPhonic said it will be the provider and fulfillment partner of cellular products and services on BestBuy.com.
“We are very excited to team with Best Buy to deliver wireless products and services online for its millions of customers nationwide,” said David Steinberg, InPhonic’s chief executive officer. “Best Buy’s selection of InPhonic reinforces our leadership in the industry and the quality of our customer experience.”
InPhonic’s stock was up 2 percent on the news to $8.03 per share.
InPhonic sells mobile phones through a variety of Internet sites, including its own Wirefly.com site.
