Mobifusion, a developer, publisher and distributor of mobile applications, has expanded its reach into reference content for mobile devices and smartphones with its now completed acquisition of Town Compass. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mobifusion has now combined all of Town Compass’ mobile content applications, including DataViewer and PocketDirectory.com, with its own catalog.
“Town Compass has already established an important name in mobile publishing through its group of branded reference, classic literature and information-based mobile content products and we intend to capitalize on their success and take it to the next level,” said Pavan Mandhani, founder and CEO of Mobifusion. “We’re already working on enhancing publishing features, upgrades to their DataViewer platform, and will continue with global expansion for its brands, technologies and customers.”
Mobifusion provides its branded mobile media content to cellular operators and carriers, publishers and content providers. Its products are sold through wireless carriers and online retailers starting at 99 cents per month.
