The Florida Wireless Association (FWA) is proud to announce the results from our 4th Annual Charity Golf Classic. This year’s event was held on October 8th at Hawk’s Landing and Grande Pines Championship Courses located in Orlando, Florida. 232 players took over the two golf courses and allowed for FWA to donate $17,500 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and North Florida and another $17,500 to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. The temperatures also hit a new record in Orlando, reaching a high of 95 degrees!
Over the last four years, FWA has donated in excess of $100,000 to worthy charities. “We extend our gratitude to our sponsors, participants and volunteers for making the event a success,” said Mike Belski, President of FWA. “We are proud to be associated with Make-A-Wish and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Both are admirable organizations that will continue to be supported by FWA.”
Founded in 2005, FWA’s mission is to cultivate relationships within the wireless industry and create a unified voice that supports the development of quality networks, the enhancement of the communities that we serve, and a spirit of charitable giving. FWA meets quarterly and holds networking events in Orlando, Boca Raton and Tampa.
