The Arkansas Oklahoma Wireless Association held its 4th Annual Charity Tournament on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Cherokee Hills Golf Club in Tulsa, OK. The tournament attracted a field of 88 golfers, and raised a total of $25,000. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Folds of Honor Foundation.
About Arkansas Oklahoma Wireless Association: The AROK Wireless Association was the seventh State Wireless Association formed, and has grown to 130 members. There are now 20 State Wireless Associations, covering 31 states. These associations are comprised of members from all sectors of the wireless industry-carriers, site providers, tower companies, equipment vendors, construction companies, legal and other consultants. The mission of state wireless associations is to promote positive wireless industry awareness. The companies in the association have formed together to educate state and local public officials about the role of the wireless industry and its benefits, and to cultivate relationships between the various members of the industry.
