Aruba Networks Inc. released financial results for its second fiscal quarter that ended Jan. 31. The company reported revenues of $62.7 million, up 31% from revenues of $47.7 million during the corresponding quarter last year. Net loss for the quarter was $4.4 million, or 5 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $6.8 million, or 8 cents per share, for the second quarter last year. The company also announced it will host an analyst day March 17 in New York.
Brightpoint Inc.’s board of directors approved an increase in its previously announced share repurchase program by $25 million to $105 million. The company said $76.3 million of share repurchases have been completed to date. A total of $28.7 million remains for repurchasing shares after the increase.
Commscope Inc. said its revenues for the fourth quarter were $748 million, down from revenues of $861.8 million for the previous fourth quarter. Net income was $37 million, or 37 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $342 million, or $4.86 per share, reported during the fourth quarter of 2008.
Motorola completed its acquisition of content management and delivery company BitBand, which specializes in video on demand for IPTV. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Power Battery Company Inc. has acquired the assets of Coleman Global Telecommunications, which provides cell site construction, system upgrades and installations. Coleman Global also installs and services in-building wireless systems and alternative energy systems.
