The DSP Group is certainly well equipped to provide a home smartphone product being the only provider of a SoC solution including DECT, Wi-Fi and multimedia, with a broad portfolio of wireless chipsets – from its XpandR multimedia chipset family to the next-generation XceedR cordless chipset and XciteR VoIP chipset families.
These integrate DECT, Wi-Fi, PSTN and VoIP technologies with application processors to provide converged voice, audio, video and data connectivity across diverse consumer products – from cordless and VoIP phones to home gateways and connected multimedia screens.
DSP Group’s silicon and HD (High-Definition) Voice technologies also power all 11 CAT-iq certified products of leading cordless telephone manufacturers.
Most recently DSP Group even announced a partnership with Binatone Motorola to power the next generation cordless Android phone with an i-Phone like touch-screen interface. RCR was able to get an exclusive product demo, which you can view in the video below.
