BEIJING, Dec 13, 2010 (Xinhua via COMTEX) —
China’s mobile phone output is likely to exceed 700 million and takes a 60 percent share in the global market in 2010, predicted Wang Xiang, senior Vice President of Qualcomm recently.
Wang said in a Qualcomm China partner conference that the country’s cell phone output peak is ignited by China’s booming 3G mobile phones.
“China’s 3G cell phone market is the fastest developer we have seen so far”, added Wang.
Latest statistics with China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology show that the industrial added value for home mobile phone sector surged 37 percent on year in Jan-Oct of 2010, much faster than a 16 percent average for the industrial added value of national large scale industries.
In 2011, smart phones
, in particular the elementary 1,000 yuan below products will be the popular ones, Wang said.
