Globacom launches LTE in Nigeria

Nigerian mobile operator Globacom Ltd. launched the country’s first LTE network this week running alongside its current GSM and HSPA operations. The service runs under the company’s Glo Mobile brand name.
Globacom COO Mohamen Jameel said the new offering would provide customers with a better experience compared with its current HSPA-based service.
Globacom provides mobile services under the Glo brand in Nigeria, Benin and Ghana.
