NTT Com | January 18, 2011 | Press Release
TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today plans to establish a point of presence (POP) for its Arcstarâ„¢ Global IP-VPN service in Perth, Australia, which will launch in the near future. Applications to access the service through this new location will be accepted from January 18.
The new POP, which will be NTT Com’s third in Australia after Sidney and Melbourne, will further enhance the company’s ability to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, global-scale managed network services to multinational companies in Oceania.
With its new POP in the Western Australia capital, NTT Com expects to better serve the region’s many energy and mineral companies, as well as other multinational customers, who until now have had to use the company’s POP in Melbourne.
NTT Com has steadily expanded the global footprint of its Arcstar Global IP-VPN service, both by establishing POPs in major cities of the world and by interconnecting its IP-VPN with partner telecommunications companies in local markets. The Arcstar Global IP-VPN service currently is available in 159 countries and regions.
